Matching numbers, 1967 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Coupe, complete bare metal rotisserie strip and re-spray. This car started life in Old English White with red interior. The colors certainly did not bring out the fabulous curves of this iconic car. It was decided that during restoration it would be re-sprayed in Jaguar Dorchester Gray with concours correct blue Conley leather and wool carpets. New floors and sills with spot welds in the original places exactly as original, every nut and bolt restored or replaced with correct, balanced blue-printed engine built by us, new $8,500 Tremmec 5-speed transmission installed with original matching numbers 4 speed, upgraded Wilwood brakes with original calipers, over $10,000 in correct Dunlop wheels with oversized racing spinners, aluminum radiator and over flow tank with upgraded OE style cooling fan, LED lights, hidden Bluetooth stereo, concours correct blue leather interior and wool carpets, all chrome triple chrome plated to perfection, all new glass, base coat/clear coat Dorchester gray, full set of original tools in mint condition, new Dayton chrome wire spare, Michelin tires, highly detailed engine bay, undercarriage, and inner trunk bay, with new fuel tank, complete new brake hydraulics and lines, entire wiring harness and sub-harnesses, NOS switches, rebuilt original gauges, highly refinished original steering wheel, with every single component operating as new including wiper motor, properly reversing and parking.

Restoration history:

May 20, 2018:

Restoration has been completed. Test drives, final go-over, and detailing has been finished and the car is ready for a new home!

January 29, 2018: 

Engine is installed, wiring is complete, interior is installed, and now the small bits begin to come together.

December 19, 2017:

The engine has been rebuilt, all ancillaries have been assembled, and it is ready to be installed in the car. Re-assembly of the engine compartment, including wiring harness, has commenced as well in preparation of engine install.

April 7, 2016:

Re-assembly has begun. Most of the underside of the car is assembled, including brakes, suspension, rear end, brake/fuel lines, etc. The rear bumpers have been fitted and some other odds and ends have been installed.

December 8, 2015:

The car is painted, and has been wet sanded and buffed today. It is stunning! I am really loving the gun metal grey color that the owner picked. Next stop: Assembly.

October 29, 2015:

The car is ready for the final primer coat and sanding, and then will be ready for paint.

September 21, 2015:

The body has had the first coat of primer applied. The hood is now having body work done.

August 18, 2015:

Body work is going steady on the car.

June 4, 2015: 

The rest of the metal work is completed, including replacing of the bird cage. The car is now moved over to body, and is ready to begin body work.

April 30, 2015:

Rusted sheet metal is still being replaced.

April 15, 2015: 

First coat of primer was applied, and metal work has begun. Brandon is replacing rusty sheet metal in preparation of body work.

March 26, 2015: 

The rest of the body was prepped today for primer, and is currently in the paint booth getting its first coat of primer to protect the bare metal through the body work process.

March 19, 2015: 

Sandblasting was completed today on the hood and the body/frame. Some remnants of coating were left in the floor pans, so Brandon and Spencer are getting what is leftover out today.

March 17, 2015:

The car is being installed on the rotisserie to be sandblasted tomorrow.

October 23, 2014:

John is continually dis-assembling his car. This week we dropped the rear end out of the car, and John has been dis-assembling all parts of the rear end.

August 5, 2014:

Dis-assembly is coming along nicely. The entire engine compartment is apart, as well as most suspension components and interior components. John is still here, helping steadily on his project.

July 30, 2014:

The car has been moved to our restoration shop and dis-assembly has begun. The owner of the car, John, plans on being heavily involved in the restoration of this car as he retired at the first of the year and is excited to spend time with us helping with his car.
