Gassman Automotive is located in Virginia's scenic Shenandoah Valley at 184 N. Bayard Ave, in Waynesboro, VA. Specializing in antique British automobiles, the dedicated craftsmen of Gassman have decades of experience working with motorcycles, Brass Era and classic American automobiles, as well as other collector vehicles. We are also fully equipped to service late model high-end cars.
From simple services and maintenance to frame-off restorations, Gassman Automotive is committed to quality. Our body shop has consistently taken first place in national competitions including those held by the Vintage Triumph Register, North American MGA Register, and has received accolades at the Juniors, Seniors, and Senior Grand National levels of the Antique Auto Club of America.
In keeping with our commitment to quality, Gassman performs all service in house. We use only the best products and provide old school knowledge blended with modern technology. Our body shop craftsmen are skilled in body fabrication (alloy, steel, or fiberglass) and, combined with our experienced Tool & Die maker on staff, are capable of building anything.
Gassman Automotive provides exceptional full frame repair, suspension rebuild (stock or upgrades), engine rebuilding and machining as well as transmission and overdrive rebuilding. We build and bench test our units using NOS, factory tools, and our own testing jigs. Built to the highest possible standards, our motors are quite simply the best.
Gassman Automotive also specializes in carburetor rebuilding. We offer fully detailed & plated as well as original parts. All our carbs are precision line bored with oversize shafts and set up so all you have to do is bolt them on.
George, our in-house upholsterer, has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of automotive trim, from carpet, seat, and top installation, to "made from scratch" custom interiors.
